Mark is one of those rare people who has spent most of his life in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. His father moved his family to the desert in 1970 and his dad was one of the original seven physicians who started Eisenhower Medical Center. After college Mark returned to the Coachella Valley and began a career with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department where he earned the Lifesaving Award in 1996. He was also the Public Information Officer for the Department and conducted interviews on CNN and Fox News.

After leaving the Department, Mark worked as the Vice President of Municipal Marketing for Waste Management earning a spot in the company’s Circle of Excellence in 2000. From there, Mark moved to the City of Indio where he was the Assistant to the City Manager and the City’s Public Information Officer. He wrote the City’s Homeless Policy and trained the entire staff on emergency preparedness; conducting a City wide earthquake drill that was met with much praise from City officials.

After the City went through a series of personnel changes, Mark received his Real Estate license and has never looked back. He started Team Wasserman with his wife Pam that year. Mark and his wife Pam came in to Real Estate when short sales and foreclosures were over 50% of the market. They both quickly learned how to handle these complex transactions and to date have completed over 100 short sale transactions. Team Wasserman has completed transactions all over the Coachella Valley and Southern California.
